2025 “Rights of Nature”: Sherri Mitchell Speaks at Mashpee High School

Attorney/activist Sherri Mitchell, member of the Penobscot Tribe and author of Sacred Instructions, Indigenous Wisdom for Living Spirit-Based Change will be speaking on the "Rights of Nature", L.I.N.K.’s 2025 theme.  March 1, 1-3pm, at the Mashpee High School.   Sherri encompasses both the deep wisdom of her Indigenous culture and compassion for the impact of settler colonialism on both Native and non-Native people. She conveys a profound connection with the natural world and our need to care for this precious earth. Her book has been read and discussed by L.I.N.K.’s Community Book Group.  Her wisdom is at the heart of L.I.N.K.’s mission to raise awareness and understanding in our Cape Cod community of the history endured by the Wampanoag people and their cultural resilience.
